The Vibe
One of the best compliments that we have received during these early weeks of operation can be the hardest to define:
"I like the vibe." So what does that mean?
When we imagined Wine 100, we spent most of our time ruminating about 'the vibe'. We began by defining it as a place that we (Laura and I) would want to shop and hang out. That meant a unique wine and beer selection, filled with delicious options we had not yet sampled; it meant a neighborhood gathering place where you inevitably saw friends or made new ones; it meant hearing music that took you back in time, or challenged your ears to experience the future of music; it meant that everyone would feel a connection to the place in the same way that a fine wine connects you to a place (the 'terroir'). We wanted to create a new downtown landmark in Holly Springs, one that would last into the next generation. All these things were part of the vibe we wanted.
Our staff and their impact on the vibe of Wine 100 cannot be overstated. Our smiles are genuine, our passion for our community is real, and our love of wine and craft beer is boundless. I think part of our vibe is making sure that all of these things transfer to each guest who stops by to visit with us.
But that is still incomplete. The real success of the Wine 100 vibe? Every guest who chooses to spend some of their valuable time with us, tasting new wines, sipping new beers, listening to my deliberately eclectic mixes, and sharing their free time getting to know their neighbors.
That's it. The vibe of Wine 100 is all of you. Thanks for contributing!!!
Cheers,
Joe and Laura
