Intense color, shiny ruby reflections. Aromas of red and black fruit. Ripe and concentrated tannins Complex and sophisticated wine, well balanced throughout the tasting. Generous volume, full bodied and rich and elegant taste. The tasting reflects the expression of the terroir and the quality of the grapes.
On Bordeaux’s Right Bank, overlooking the Dordogne River and the village of Pessac-sur-Dordogne, the clay-limestone soils of the Ribebon hamlet plateau form the basis of Château de Ribebon Cabernet France Bordeaux Supérieur. The vines have a full southern sun exposure, allowing for maximum sun to help bring the fruit to full ripeness. The plateau’s clay and limestone soils offer nutritional balance and allow the vines to adapt to climatic variation.
This magnificent 17th century building was a former hunting lodge of King Louis Philippe. The owners, Alain and Bernadette Aubert, have preserved this exceptional heritage of history. The terrace of the Chateau offers an impregnable life on the Dordogne river which flows at its feet and on an estate of more than 80 hectares, giving birth to a red wine, Bordeaux Superieur, the Chateau de Ribebon. The Bordeaux Superieur vineyard dates back 40 years and covers nearly 136 acres
The Alain Aubert family come from the winemaking tradition of Bordeaux’s Right Bank. For several decades now, Alain, his wife Bernadette, and three daughters have fine-tuned and perfected their craft which shows admirably in this wine from the outstanding vintage. 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc
Pairs perfectly with pasta or meat risotto, herb crusted pork and roasted red meats.

Owned by the Aubert family, this estate has produced a well-balanced wine. Tannins and spice lie easily with the berry fruits and final touches of dark chocolate. It will age well. Drink from 2023.

“"A clean, fruity 2019 with currant and berry character. Medium body. Fresh finish. Easy and clean Bordeaux. Nice transparency and yumminess.”
