Juicy and ripe, the 2021 Pinot Noir Balcombe Vineyard pours a youthful ruby and is primary in its fruit on opening, with notes of mixed berries, candied flowers, and baking spice. Medium to full-bodied, it's supple and smooth in its texture, with generous, mouth-filling fruit, and has sweet tannins as well as a long-lasting, ripe finish without any heaviness. It's hard to resist now but will have a wide window of enjoyment over the coming 6-8 years.

Aromatically, the Balcombe is a backyard after a spring rain. There's aromas of blackberries, lavender, fresh-cut grass and wet patio slate. The wine possesses smooth, silky tannins and citrus-driven acidity. Blackberry tea with a slice of lemon provide all the flavor necessary.
